This Privacy Policy explains how TuneUp Bikes (“TuneUp Bikes”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit our website, sign up for beta access, or use the TuneUp Bikes mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
TuneUp Bikes is the controller of the personal information processed through the Services unless otherwise stated. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at BSRH.labs@gmail.com.
Connected fitness platform access token and activities
TuneUp Bikes allows you to link a third-party fitness platform, such as Strava, Garmin Connect, Wahoo, or others. When you link a platform, you grant TuneUp Bikes permission to access certain activity, equipment, and account data made available by that platform, based on the permissions you approve. To provide the Services, we store API access tokens that allow read-only access without accessing your platform passwords.
We use this data solely to power TuneUp Bikes features, including component tracking, maintenance reminders, historical comparisons, and related functionality. We may store activity data such as rides, timestamps, distances, and related metadata.
Your name and email
We collect your name and email address to create and manage your account, personalize the Services, provide customer support, and send service-related communications such as account notifications, beta updates, or app changes. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
This information may be collected through connected fitness platforms used for authentication or directly through the TuneUp Bikes website or app.
Device information
To deliver required notifications, we store device identifiers associated with your account. This information is collected when you create an account or log in from a new device.
Anonymous usage data
We collect limited, anonymous usage and error data to monitor performance, diagnose issues, and improve the Services. This data does not identify you personally.
We process personal information only as necessary to:
Provide and operate the Services
Maintain, improve, and secure the Services
Ensure correct and reliable functionality for users
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You provide information to TuneUp Bikes at your own risk.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information with third parties except where necessary to provide the Services. This may include trusted service providers such as email and device notification providers, which process limited data on our behalf solely to support core functionality.
We do not share your activity or equipment data with connected fitness platforms; data from those platforms is accessed only as authorized by you.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services. Account-related information is kept until it is no longer needed, you request deletion, or your account is deleted.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us or using available in-app features.
TuneUp Bikes may offer beta versions of the Services. Beta features may change, be incomplete, or be discontinued, and data accuracy or availability is not guaranteed during beta use. Feedback and anonymous usage data may be used to improve the Services.
TuneUp Bikes extends the following rights to all users worldwide, including rights provided under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Access and portability
You can access much of your information by logging into the Services. If you need additional access or a copy of your data, contact us.
Rectification, restriction, and deletion
You may correct, restrict, limit, or delete much of your information directly through the Services. If you are unable to do so, contact us for assistance.
Objection
Where we process personal information based on our legitimate interests, you may object to such processing in certain circumstances. We will stop processing unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or are required to continue for legal reasons.
Complaints
You have the right to raise concerns about our data practices with your local supervisory authority, without affecting any other rights you may have.
TuneUp Bikes is not intended for use by children under the age of 16, or under the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher. We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under this age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the Services or by other appropriate means.
